Hello everyone. Here is the second episode of the blendcast, in this episode, I talk about the basics of the 3D window, including a few basics about the object and edit mode. So if you are someone that wants to switch from say anim8or to blender, and you know how to model in anim8or say, I go over the basics of modeling in Blender. I will go in depth in a future episode, having full episodes dedicated to edit mode and modeling.

TheMan I am loving these videos! So far I have been downloading them. How come the second video isn't in .mp4?
Keep them coming por favor.
Also what software are you using to record them?

I have no idea why its not in .mp4. How are you downloading them? I do plan on getting a new episode out friday, or if I get enough user questions, getting two episodes out a week, one for questions, one with a tutorial. I think for my next tutorial, I am going to show how to model a basic object. To record, I use three programs, two of them are mac only. I use Final Cut Pro, Camtwist, and Quicktime Pro. I use camtwist to trick my computer into thinking their is another camera that happens to display my desktop. I then use Quicktime Pro to record the desktop from Camtwist. Finally, I import the captured video in Final Cut Pro and edit it, trim whats not wanted, and add any effects (hence my email in the end of the video).

Well the first one was in the .mp4 format so I was just wondering why the second one wasn't.
How am I downloading them you ask.
Well in Firefox there is an extenction called DownloadHelper and when a video is streaming (Like Youtube for example) it lets you download it.
Is it alright with you if I download them?
Also in your last video at the end there is about a minute of black screen.

Ahh, okay. I think I do remember seeing that extension at some point. Yea, its perfectly fine if you download my videos. With apple mobileme, I do get 10 GB of server space, so after the first few tutorials, I may zip them up and upload them to my mobileme server. Also, I have no idea about the minute of black, when I exported from Final Cut Pro, thats what I got. I tried trimming it out in Quicktime Pro, but it didnt work. I recently(like a week ago) got Final Cut, so im pretty new at it. I'm used to Premiere, so their are a few adjustments
